We offer guidance to companies looking to grow or change or improve performance. Risk Consulting is a fast-moving, high-growth area that reflects the challenges and uncertainty of today’s world.

What kind of work could you be doing?

  1. Risk Management

Risk Management provides practical risk management and process improvement solutions to deliver business benefits that go beyond compliance. Our Team engages with our clients to help them comply with regulatory obligations through the development and deployment of various risk models for prudential risk management across all key risk types. Our team also work with our Transactions service line to support companies intending to list publicly in the UK, delivering Financial Position and Prospects services.

  1. Digital Risk.

Digital risk is a critical area of focus as business and technology rapidly converge. EY's Digital Risk teams help organizations protect business performance by assessing risks introduced through IT controls, cybersecurity, cloud assurance, certification, contractual compliance, and software asset management. They provide services that help navigate digital complexity, create trust in financial reporting, and offer assurance on internal controls and regulatory compliance. EY's approach involves understanding of clients' strategies and processes, viewing the big picture of Digital Risks, and helping organizations identify and respond to risks from technological advances. Their goal is to help clients meet evolving regulatory requirements, control compliance costs, and build trust in new technology products and services from the outset.

  1. Program Risk Management

The Program Risk Management (PRM) team is part of our Risk Consulting practice. In EY, our approach to delivering exceptional work for our clients is underpinned by three defining features of our approach:

  • Partnering with clients to assess their Programme, PMO/TMO success capabilities for current and future programmes.
  • Helping our clients have the confidence to take and benefit from risks, drive sustainable growth and performance, develop risk-enabled organisations and resources, and gain greater access to risk insights and performance information.
  • Helping our clients solve their most complex problems as well as capitalize on opportunities.

Our services include the assessment, design and implementation of solutions that enable organisations to improve programme execution, build confidence and increase the likelihood of successful outcomes and improved business performance.

  1. Internal Audit

Our Internal Audit Team partners with clients to assist them on the delivery of key internal audit programs by helping these clients to assess their internal control environments and meet regulatory requirements.

We work with many of today's leading companies across both the UK & Ireland private sector and global multinationals, in industry sectors including energy and assets, technology, media and telecommunication, consumer products, life sciences and manufacturing, and within the government and public sector.

  1. Regulatory - Compliance, Financial Crime & Conduct

Compliance consulting involves advising and assisting organizations in understanding and adhering to the laws, regulations, standards, and ethical practices that pertain to their specific industry. At EY Risk Consulting we partner with our clients to ensure they are equipped with the tools to help them comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Through our deep relationships with our client, we are seen as trusted advisors. Our solutions and tool further equip our clients to identify potential areas of compliance risk, develop and implement compliance programs, and conduct audits and assessments to ensure ongoing adherence.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • A minimum 2.1 or higher in your chosen bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • You demonstrate integrity, respect, and teaming.
  • You have the energy, enthusiasm and the courage to lead.
  • You can see the bigger picture, while also being detail oriented.
  • You enjoy problem solving, you are willing to ask questions, embrace new challenges and are passionate about reimagining the future.
  • You have the proficiency to manage several projects simultaneously; and are confident handling change and prioritising tasks.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions.

Desirable but not required:

  • If you have completed an Erasmus, relevant course of study and/or a relevant Internship; if you have had a part time job or business, have given time dedication to a skill, sport, or volunteering work.
